We offer our guests a relaxing stay in our scenic Fife coastal village, a 2016 Silver Gilt winner in the prestigious "Beautiful Scotland in Bloom" Awards. We are situated directly on the Fife Coastal path; ideal for walking, running and cycling. Our £150pp offer is based on 12 golfers staying overnight, 1 x round at Aberdour GC, followed by a two course dinner, breakfast at McTaggart's cafe, followed by a round at Burntisland GC.
Aberdour is 15 miles from Edinburgh International Airport; ideal for that rugby or theatre trip, or shopping expedition and just 36 miles from St Andrews, the home of golf. Our hotel is a five minute walk from Aberdour train station which has regular half hour journeys to Edinburgh.
Our Clipper room features the beautiful stained glass ceiling designed by Oscar Paterson. The ceiling was a key feature of the first class restaurant abord the Clyde built RMS Orontes, which sailed from the UK to Australia between 1902 and 1926. Orontes was scrapped at Inverkeithing and the then owner of the Woodside was so determined to save the ceiling that he arranged for the roof to be transported, lock, stock and barrel to Aberdour. Oscar Paterson was a contemporary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the influence is clear. The Clipper is a fantastic place to eat and we welcome groups for private dining.
