Fife Historic Buildings Trust completed the restoration of the Cupar Burgh Chambers in 2018. By converting this long vacant and at risk Grade B listed building, an important local landmark has been saved and given a new lease of life, allowing visitors from across the world to come and stay in Cupar.
Guests are located in the centre of Cupar with direct access to a wide variety of independent shops in town as well as a short walking distance to the beautiful Cart Haugh Park. The nearby railway station provides easy rail access to Edinburgh and Dundee. Cupar is ideally located a short 15 minute drive to St Andrews, the home of golf; however there are 45 golf courses throughout Fife, so lots of opportunities to visit different towns and villages, if golfing is your interest.
Perfect for a group of golfing friends, looking for a base to get in as much golfing as possible. For those wanting to try something different, Cupar holds a fascinating historical past as it was once the County town of Fife, so why not stroll along the streets and take a walk back in time. The rooms are furnished in keeping with the history of the building, while providing all the modern amenities you would expect.
Up the first flight of stairs there’s a magnificently sized open living/dining area on the first floor with a large bay window, and large wooden dining table.
A modern kitchenette is in the main living space and has all the amenities required for your stay including a fridge, freezer, dish washer, kettle, toaster and microwave.
Comfortable seating (and sofa bed) is inbetween the dining and kitchen which creates a perfect social communal area.
Cupar Burgh Chambers has two bedrooms (up another two flights of stairs) each with ensuite: Bedroom 1 – King size bed with additional single bed if required, Bedroom 2 – Can be set up as a Super king or two singles and in the living room area a sofa bed.
A travel cot is available for either room.
