St Andrews bus station is a five minute walk from the golf course. Local services to and from St Andrews are run by Stagecoach.
Tickets can be purchased on buses or via the Stagecoach Bus App. Further information on planning your journey, including timetables and tickets valid for multiple journeys, can be found on the Stagecoach website. All local buses accept contactless payments.
Moffat & Williamson is the operator which connects St Andrews to Cupar and Glenrothes, and the 92 service, which connects St Andrews to Leuchars and Balmullo. The nearest bus stop to the golf course is on South Street, which is approximately a ten minute walk to the venue entrance. Further information can be found on the Moffat & Williamson website. All local buses accept contactless payments.
The Go-Flexi taxibus connects rural areas of Fife that aren’t serviced by public bus routes. Journeys can be booked any time from one week to one hour prior to travel, however this service is very popular so advance booking is strongly recommended. For more information and contact details please visit the Moffat & Williamson website.
There will be no public car parking at St Andrews Links or in the surrounding area. All public parking will be at The Open Park & Ride facilities, where buses will transport spectators to and from the course.
Spectators choosing to travel to the event by car or motorcycle should follow the road signs directing to The Open Park & Ride sites.
It is advisable that all ticket holders should not travel by rail using ScotRail services to and from Leuchars when attending The Open each day.
ScotRail will continue to operate a reduced timetable on the dates of the Championship as a result of its on-going dispute with ASLEF members (train drivers).
Whilst attending the 150th Open take a little time out to explore and discover the world of golf at The World Golf Museum. The museum is located directly opposite the Royal and Ancient Clubhouse.
All museum visitors during the 150th Open will receive a copy of the commemorative guide detailing all the Open artefacts in the museum collection.
Book online in advance and you will be entered into a draw to win a cap signed by five time Open Champion Tom Watson.
